Özet: Reduplications, which have an important place in Turkish vocabulary together with proverbs, idioms, and formulaic words, are phrases formed by words coming together to strengthen the meaning, reinforce, and add harmony to the expression. Reduplications, one of the phrases used in order to convey the messages constructed in the works to the reader in a quicker, deeper, more permanent and more understandable way are used extensively by the artists due to these functions. It is seen that Tarık Buğra, who has an important place in the History of Turkish Literature, gives a lot of place to reduplication in his novels. In this article, the types of reduplications in Tarık Buğra’s Küçük Ağa novel are discussed in terms of frequency of use and spelling, in order to reveal that the reduplications in his works are not accidental and have an important place in constructing the messages and meanings that the artist wants to convey.
