Özet: Lighting illusions, which reveal surprising perspectives in the context of spatial perception, are playing an increasingly common role in interior design. The study focused on the questions of what this role is and how much it is used. The aim is to obtain a dataset that will provide designers with different perspectives by discussing how the relationship between lighting and illusion is reflected in the space. In the study, first of all, a theoretical framework was created with literature analysis. Then, the determined space examples were examined and the purposes for which the lighting illusion was used in the interior were classified. According to this, it has been seen that there are a total of 10 illusion approaches under the illumination illusion, which is divided into two types as psychological and physiological illusion. Finally, lighting illusion approaches are sampled and evaluated. In the evaluation, it has been determined that there are relations between the function of the space and the use of the illusion approaches due to the preference.
