Özet: This quantitative study discussed the relationship between the impacts of students' low academic achievement on their psychological anxiety at Muscat universities in the Sultanate of Oman. The objectives were to verify five hypotheses that together formed the independent variables of low academic achievement and to measure their impact on the dependent variable psychological anxiety. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach, the study population consisted of all students in the three universities at the capital city of Muscat: University of Nizwa, University of Sohar, and the University of Al Sharqiya, which numbered (8490) students, the researcher chose a random sample of (367) male and female students. The questionnaire was been prepared according to the five-point Likert scale, in two sections, the first; represents the variables related to low academic achievement, which included (47) statements distributed in (5) domains, the second section: the psychological anxiety variable, which included (21) statements. The questionnaire was distributed online. Statistical methods: descriptive analysis; Alpha Cronbach's coefficient, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Simple regression analysis. The findings of the simple regression analysis, in both tables: the regression variance and the regression variance table (correlation and beta), indicated that the five null hypotheses were rejected. The alternative hypotheses were: there was a positive statistically significant effect at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) for low academic achievement, for each variable of: Reasons related to faculty members, reasons related to assessment methods and examinations, reasons related to the educational environment, reasons related to the environment of families the student, and finally the reasons related to the student himself; It has an impact on psychological anxiety among students of Muscat universities in the Sultanate of Oman.
