Özet: The objective of this research is to find out the complications faced by the psychological consultants working on the Syrian children and to investigate the solutions to those problems. This research is designed in a qualitative pattern by interviewing the experts in this field and using the forms that are prepared in association with the expert reviews. The study group was based on 32 psychological consultants within an age group of 23-52 years old, who were working in different levels at the schools under the National Curriculum Board of Şahinbey and Şehitkamil municipalities of Gaziantep city. One of the methods of the benchmark sampling was used to determine the working group. The data obtained as a result of the interviews were coded in the direction of qualitative research methods and subjected to content analysis. According to the findings of the study, more than half of the psychological consultants reported to face troubles in order to adapt in the schools which have Syrian students. The most important complication they faced was language problem. Because of this language barrier the students find it difficult to adapt in their current schools, abusing others while expressing themselves, more academic failure, leading to make groups with students from their own culture. In order to solve these problems, the participants suggested on focusing to solve the basic language problem and application of psychological counselling-based trauma education.
