Özet: environmental and industry characteristics affecting the business performance have been analyzed in the light of their relationships. In the study, in order to determine the factors affecting export performance of the businesses, the scale which was adapted from the work of Yücel (2006) and having both validity and reliability features was preferred. Through the consideraton of business manager’s thoughts, actual situation has been determined and the hypotheses have been tested. In the research a Likert scale has been used. In terms of the model developed by the authors it was found that business specifications, managerial and environmental features have an effect on export performances of the businesses
