Özet: Background: Acne is a very common problem affecting more than 90% of adolescent population. The present study was conducted to compare derma roller therapy (DT) and fractional carbon dioxide (CO2) laser technique in patients with post-acne scars. Materials & Methods: 80 patients with post-acne scars of both genders were divided into 2 groups. Group I patients (40) were treated with derma roller therapy and group II patients (40) were treated with fractional CO2 laser every 4 weeks. Goodman and Barons Qualitative Scale was recoded. Complications were compared. Results: Group I had 22 males and 18 females and group II had 14 males and 26 females. 1 grade up was seen in 32 in group I and 30 un group II and 2 grade up in 8 in group I and 10 in group II. The complications recorded were post- treatment erythema in 3 in group I and 2 in group II, oedema 4 in group I and 5 in group II and post- inflammatory pigmentation 1 in group I and 4 in group II. The difference was significant (P< 0.05). Conclusion: Both the modalities were effective in management of post acne scars.
