Özet: Type 2 diabetes mellitus, obesity, genetic factors are linked to insulin resistance. The three factors are linked to each other or are independent in causing insulin resistance. Insulin resistance has a harmful effect on the body. It can lead to metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease patient to increase in number.Combination of drug and lifestyle modification are necessary to overcome it. Hence, the basis of treatment in insulin resistance is to introduce healthy lifestyle and exercise, as exercise increases the sensitivity of insulin receptor.
