Özet: This study aims to examine the opinions of social studies teachers on 2023 Education Vision. The study group consists of 25 social studies teachers working in state and private schools in the different parts of Turkey during 2018-2019 academic year. It adopted the case study design of qualitative research methods and the data were analysed through descriptive analysis technique. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers by taking experts’ opinion. The participants were asked to evaluate the 2023 Education Vision in terms of educational efficiency, teaching profession and student development. Based on the evaluation of eductional efficiency in the 2023 Education Vision, three main themes were those who evaluated positively, those who evaluated positively but suspected that it could be successful in the application and other opinions. In terms of teaching profession; three main themes were those who evaluated positively, those though that all the teachers should have the same status and others. In terms of student developments, seven themes emerged. Each theme supported the opinions of the teachers. As a result of the study, the opinions of the social studies teachers about the 2023 Education Vision were compared with the related studies in the literature and various suggestions were put forth.
