Özet: Current studies in OS is usually between linux and windows these days. Both Windows and Linux are widely used PC operating systems (OS). Windows is an eye-catching operating system, but it is not as safe as Linux. With growing worries about OS security, Linux has become well-known among OS users for its security and efficiency. This paper manages two of the principal common types of operating systems (Linux, Windows) with the significance of the operating system in any device and, moreover, to direct the study over Linux and Windows. We've compared various characteristics concerning Windows and Linux that are utilized in various researches and directed a survey for this reason. The results of the survey related to Windows and Linux are analyzed. The findings indicate that Linux is more preferred when concerned with security, whereas Windows is preferred when user-friendliness is concerned.
