Özet: Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the occupational awareness levels of first year physiotherapy and rehabilitation students. Materials and Methods: First grade students of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department were included in the study. Students' age and gender information, perception of economic status (good-medium-bad) and marital status (married-single) were recorded. The occupational awareness of the students was evaluated with 17 questions prepared by the researchers. Results: 95 students were invited to the study 89 students participated in the study voluntarily. The average age was 20,16 ± 2,83 years. When the answers given by the students to 17 questions are examined; 41.6% chose the section as their first choice, 96.6% registered with their own request, 64% accessed information about the program via the internet, 90.8% of Physiotherapists in the history of Turkey Day 8 April, the World Day of Physiotherapists of 74.1% that he knows is celebrated on September 8, 36% of them had a popular / famous / mediatic physiotherapist, 10.1% received physiotherapy and rehabilitation services, and 49.4% had information about postgraduate and doctorate programs was determined. Conclusion: In our study, it was determined that most of the students chose this department because it was in their field of interest, chose the department as their first choice, enrolled in the department according to their own wishes, was pleased to study in the department, and the family and close circle saw it very positively.
