Özet: In Turkey, football is a highly effective field in the establishment of the status of masculinity and in the process of identity acquisition. Discourses used with comments on football and football itself have contributed to the construction of 'male culture' in Turkey. Football is an indispensable field for men because the masculine elements of football's language and discourse contain the words and phrases that are unique to men and loaded with sexuality in the places where men live together and in time. Since football is seen as a men's game, this situation is influential in so many issues until a series of normalised movements in football, such as fighting and rivalry. Age is clearly a variable that separates the fan groups from each other, and as the age category increases, the tendency of approval given to these and similar implementations falls. Among all categories, Bucaspor supporters ranked first in the applications such as approval of masculanity, fighting, implementations towards rival supporters and protection practice of their district compared to the fans of the other two teams.
