Özet: Aim: This descriptive research was performed to evaluate relationship between emotional intelligence levels and teamwork. Methods: The research was carried out on183 nursing students by using Students’ Information Form, Teamwork Attitudes Questionnaire and Emotional Intelligence Scale Frequency, percentage, mean , standard deviation, Pearson Correlation analysis, Kolmogorov-Smirnov , Mann -Whitney U, KruskalWallis tests were used at data analysis. P value of <0.05 was accepted as a significant. Results: Total scores of teamwork attitude and emotional intelligence were found respectively Students teamwork attitude total score of was112.945 ± 16.030 and140.169 ± 22.611. Significant positive correlations were found between total score of emotional intelligence and teamwork attitude, (53.4%, r = 0.534 , p < 0.05), team structure (48.5 %, r = 0.485 , p < 0.05 ) and leadership (43.6 % ,r = 0.436 , p < 0.05 ). It was determined that Team structure point avareage of students are difference between them are significant as for that graduated schools. ( p < 0.05). Conclusion: It was found positive and significant correlation betweenemotional intelligence and team work attitude scores There is direct proportion between total scores of teamwork attitude and emotional intelligence scales.
