Özet: Proliferating trichilemmal cyst which is the neoplastic counterpart of trichilemmal cyst most commonly occurs on scalp as a solitary lesion. It can also occur on the neck and back with a lesser frequency. The mean age is 65 and it is seen 5 times more frequent in women than men. Microscopically there is abrupt amorphous keratinous material in the center of the solid cell islands which are well demarcated from the surronding tissue. They are benign lesions but rarely can exhibit malignant transformation. We present here a case of proliferating trichilemmal cyst located in axilla with the clinical and histopathological features in the light of the literature
