Özet: Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the demographical features and clinical parameters of patients with knee osteoarthritis. Methods: Forty patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis were included in the study. Disability was evaluated by Health Assessment Questionnaire HAQ , the severity of the pain was evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale VAS , and Physical activity was evaluated with Western Ontario MacMaster Questionnaire WOMAC and Lequesne index. Results: Mean VAS score at rest was 5.3 ± 0.97, VAS with effort was 7.8 ± 1.1. WOMAC, pain: 5.6 ± 1.06, stiffness: 5.4 ± 1.1, physical activity: 5.8 ± 1.1, Lequesne index: 14.05 ± 1.6, HAQ: 1.65 ± 1.4. There were significant positive correlations between Body Mass Index BMI and WOMAC pain, stiffness and physical activity scores. BMI was negatively correlated with walking distance without pain. Education level was negatively correlated with WOMAC stiffness, physical activity, and VAS scores. Conclusion: Determination of the factors associated with knee osteoarthritis may have additive benefits on the prevention and treatment of knee osteoarthritis
