Özet: Generally, the result of the strength difference between floors cause weak – soft floor. In this study, how the difference between heights of the normal mezzanine to the other floors of a selected sample of reinforced concrete structure affects the performance of the structure was investigated. In this study, the effects of the normal floor height changes have been taken into account by keeping the same formwork condition. For this purpose, the calculations were made by considering all the floor heights are equal and only a normal mezzanine height changes. For a 6-storey reinforced concrete structure, only the layer height of the fifth floor has been changed. Some recommendations are made by comparing the results obtained. In order to improve defence mechanism against lateral loads of structures, floor heights should be as equal as possible. In this study, effect of structure performance of the mezzanine height changes was calculated for different reasons. Inter-storey height changes made both base shear force and displacement values decrease.
