Özet: The importance and usage of renewable energy sources is increasing at the world and in our country. Wind energy systems usage permanently increases in our country by the reason of its geographical location. Wind speeds at hub heights of wind turbines need to be measured or estimated to determine the wind energy potential of a zone. In this study, the meteorology air station's which is established between January - December 2013 wind speed data is used on 2 meters high to determine wind potential in Burdur - Aglasun region. Wind speeds at hub heights (60, 65, 73 and 75 m) of wind turbines are estimated by different extrapolation methods. The most suitable turbine detection done for this region by using the estimated wind speeds at hub heights. The most suitable turbine for the region is selected LTW80 turbine of 65 m hub heights. Thus, it’s determined that the energy can be obtained in the area is between 281560 kWh - 154039 kWh.
