Özet: This study has been done in order to find out major factors that play important role at students’ university preferences. Survey method was used for data collection. The survey which was put into practise consists of two parts and twenty-five questions. At the first part of the survey, demographic features of students such as gender, age, the kind of high school that he or she graduated, monthly income etc..were specified. At the second part , imporant factors at prefering a university and students’opinions on departments which have the most and the least potentials for finding a job were explained. The borders of this survey were limited with İstanbul Aydın University and Anadolu Bil Vocational School for Higher Education. At the end of this survey, it was found out that the guarantee of getting a job has been the most important criteria for prefering a university
