Özet: Worldwide financial crisis have once again unfolded how significant the banking regulation and supervision is. One of the main problems/primary concerns arises from arguments as to whether integration of financial regulating powers or forming a separate financial regulating powers is/will be more efficient. While a single power/authority approach in structuring banking regulating powers is gaining importance in the world, there are different practices in every country. The purpose of this study is to draw attention to the structuring of the regulating powers of banking industry and to research into the reasons for the formation of Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin- Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht) and Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA), their structure, their function/mission and power/competency, and also to compare these two models
