Özet: Warrants are securities that give to holder the right to buy or sell an underlying asset at a fixed price, on or before a specified future date. The “underlying asset”, may be a single equity or a basket of equities. Such equities must be traded on the ISE, and included in the ISE 30 Index. If Capital Market Board (CMB) specifically approves, banks and intermediary institutions can also issue instrument based on convertible foreign currency, precious metals, goods and internationally recognised indexes. Deutsche Bank issued Turkey’s first warrants on 13 August 2010. Deustche Bank aims to issue more than 250 by the end of 2011. This study evaluate the status and importance of warrants which is the new investment instrument and expected to grow future years in Turkish capital market.
