Özet: The main element of increasing the productivity and quality of enterprises is the human factor. The competition between companies is more about quality and quantity in the human factor. The main subject of this study is to determine the human resources, the department structures, and the human resources procurement methods in the hospitals in Istanbul, which has 250 employees and below. It has been determined that between number of employees and establishing human resources department have a positive correlation. As the number of employees increases in a hospital, they establish a human resources department. But in some of the establishments, there is still human resources department connected other above department. This research has shown that more qualified techniques to find employees positively impacts on performance of workers. An also if a company performs well on finding qualified and high performance workers, employees have a strong intention to work for the company for long term periods instead of changing their workplace in short term. However according to the literature review and the information obtained from applications made, the hospital management of human resources activity are not satisfactory enough
