Özet: Health sector has significant changes and developments in recent years. Healthcare instutions must keep up with their service quality and satisfaction of patients and their relatives such that satisfied patients would prefer same instution next time. For service providers in the healthcare sector, determining factors, which effects patients and their relatives satisfaction or dissatisfaction, and providing services according to these factors will ultimately increase the satisfaction of the patients and their relatives as well as service quality of the organization. As a result, the organization will be able to provide competitive services to its customers. In this research paper, we surveyed the satisfaction of the patients and their relatives at a research hospital in Istanbul. The purpose of this study was to determine the positive and the negative factors affecting the satisfaction of patients and their relatives
