Özet: The purpose of this research is that examining some changes in terms of academic procrastination behavior of adolescents who attend different schools in a district of Istanbul- Başakşehir. This study has been worked on three schools. Kayaşehir Anatolia High School, Başakşehir Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School and Celalettin Ökten Anatolia Religious School- that are located in a district of Istanbul Başakşehir Students who participated in the survey are a total of 450 students, including 9-10-11. Research has been work on 226 girls and 224 boys. All data from research is gathered “academic procrastination scale” and personal information form. The results related to the overall structure of the group, have been introduced with frequencies and percentages. It has been seen that gender and the scores the they received from the academic procrastination scale scores of male students’ academic procrastination examined were higher (t=4,054; p<,001). There were no significant differences according to the type of high school when we examine (F=2,94;p>,05). With respect to class 9 and class11 were significant differences in favor of 11 classes (F=8,61;p<,001). Students’ academic procrastination scores, who perceive their academic achievements low, are higher than that students who perceive their academic achievements high (F=32,31; p<,001).
