Özet: The spread of Covid-19 pandemic worldwide, resulted in various restrictions to be applied in Turkey and remote (online) education has commenced. During this period, important questions and problems arose regarding the continuation of education-training online and the continuation of education partially in existing primary schools. Furthermore, primary schools remained idle during this period. The aim of this study is to provide design provisions to ensure the healthy and safe operation of existing primary school buildings in Turkey during the pandemic and post-pandemic periods. Accordingly, fast and easily applicable, economic design provisions which take into consideration the anthropometric measurements and age-appropriate social development of students were developed using the existing materials in primary school buildings such as, desks, tables, cupboards and doors. This study consists of design processes of analysis, case studies, literature survey, review of relevant codes/guidelines, and the visual presentation of the suggestions for preparations and design recommendations.
