Özet: With the continuous development of technology, individuals obtained a limitless and various possibility to express themselves in an online world. People becoming more curious and needing to communicate with others has led social media accounts to became a part of life rapidly. These communication environments, which represent a period as the age of social media, may lead to the emergence of an addiction in any age groups in case of excessive exposure. Through social media individuals can easily reveal their own selves, beliefs, values, and their personal stories by creating posts online. People exposing themselves on social media can also be considered as a way of starting permanent relationships. In this study, the relationship between the level of self-expression on social media, perceived benefits, self-esteem, trust in social media users, and how much they are exposed is examined.
