Özet: In this study, a general research has been made about the structure, properties and usage areas of graphene, which is the material of the future. Graphene, which is used in wide areas such as electronic devices, optical equipment, medicine and health, sports and solar cells, has been investigated for its usability in cement-based construction materials when synthesized at high levels. Graphene is a two-dimensional sheet with a hexagonal arrangement of carbon atoms and a honeycomb-like structure. There are certain factors that make this two-dimensional material valuable. Most importantly, graphene, which is a harder material than diamond, is not easy to draw. It is very thin, flexible and light because it consists of a single row of molecules. When each carbon atom forms bonds with three other carbon atoms in the structure of graphene, one of the carbon’s free electrons cannot be used and becomes free, making graphene a good conductor material. Graphene added to cement to increase the durability of concrete and reduce the amount of use offers us safer and more durable structures.
