Özet: The evaporator (cooling coil or blower coil), one of the four main elements in the refrigeration cycle, was used as a finned tube heat exchanger in this study. There are difficulties in determining the parameters for sizing evaporators. The parameters used in sizing were calculated by coding a computer program. The parameters used in sizing were calculated by writing a computer program. A program was written that has high working platform independence and makes calculations with the C# programming language of the Microsoft Visual Studio.NET platform with its structure suitable for precise mathematical operations. In the program, thermal calculations of the evaporator can be made and the heat transfer surface and pipe numbers are determined. Inlet and outlet temperature values of fluids, mass flow rates, inner and outer diameters of selected pipes can be entered as data in the program prepared. All mathematical expressions used are empirical statements with proven accuracy given in the relevant literature. With this article compiled from the thesis study, the program's accuracy over 90% was determined by comparing the ideal data calculated by the program using mathematical equations with the results of the evaporator manufactured according to these data. With the calculations made with the prepared program, the parameters affecting the evaporator and their calculated effects are shown in graphics.
