Özet: Ornamental plants are an important sector that improves the quality of life in artificially created areas and thus has positive effects on human health and psychology. The flower, leaf and stem features of the ornamental plants used indoors and the traces of natural life are kept alive in indoor spaces. In addition, indoor ornamental plants; It has many positive contributions such as being alive throughout the year, making the places they are used more attractive with their colors, scents and different forms, and creating a lively atmosphere. In this study, a survey was conducted to determine the consumption trends and purchasing behaviors of indoor ornamental plants in the example of the city of Zonguldak. The research material consists of the data obtained from the ornamental plant consumers residing in the city of Zonguldak through face-to-face surveys. The survey results were analyzed with the SPSS statistical package program. Most of the contributors to the survey are between the ages of 31 and 45 and are married individuals. According to the study, the most preferred indoor ornamental plant is orchid, followed by succulent-cactus and violet, respectively. In addition, consumers can buy indoor ornamental plants; 87.2% of them prefer to buy directly, 12.8% of them buy by phone.
