Özet: In recent years, it is known that the demand of tourist has increased for destinations where they can spend more time with nature and natural and cultural values are preserved. Ecotourism is one of the tourism types that takes the approach of visiting and protecting natural areas as a pioneer. One of the destinations with rich ecotourism potential in Turkey is the Eastern Black Sea Region. The Eastern Black Sea Region attracts tourists with its flora and fauna diversity, topographic structure, and local and cultural values. In this context, the main purpose of this study is to address the ecotourism potential of the Eastern Black Sea Region with a holistic approach. In this study, the basic qualitative method was used, and the eco-tourism activity areas of the provinces of the Eastern Black Sea Region were covered by the purposeful sampling method. In the research, secondary data such as national and international sources, articles, web pages, papers, books were used. In this context, the eco-tourism activities of the provinces in the Eastern Black Sea Region were analyzed on the Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorates web pages. In the research, primarily eco-tourism activities were classified in the literature, and data was scanned in accordance with this classification on web pages. The data obtained are classified under the titles determined as eco-tourism types in the literature. As a result of the research, it was determined that the Eastern Black Sea Region has a wide variety in terms of eco-tourism. It is determined that trekking, mountaineering and tableland tourism are among the prominent eco-tourism activities in the Eastern Black Sea Region.
