Özet: Covid-19 pandemic, caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus and known as coronavirus, broke out in December 2019 in Wuhan city in Hubei province of China and spread across the world in a short time. Declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization, Covid-19 tests national economies as well as individuals with great uncertainty. Various measures taken by states during the pandemic period are aimed at ensuring the sustainability of the macro-level policies for the welfare of the countries. In terms of general welfare, foreign trade is one of the areas that have been transformed by paying attention to both the pandemic and the post-pandemic period. In this article, within the context of McConnell's process classification of crisis management performance, whether Turkey succeeded in crisis management in terms of foreign trade in the outbreak period was investigated. In the light of the data gathered on the basis of evidence suggested in McConnell's work, Turkey's crisis management in terms of foreign trade has been concluded to be successful in the first six months of the pandemic.
