Özet: The main purpose of this research is to ensure the reusability of the local flavors in the historical process and to transfer them to the future generations by examining the cuisine flavors and elements that have been lost within the scope of the concept of “Local Cuisine Culture and Elements” which is a unique culture and communication system, and to transfer the local cuisine to the next generations. culture and its elements are determined to be brought to tourism. For this purpose, face-to-face interviews were held with family elders living in Edremit Bay of Balıkesir province after the related literature review. Besides the socio-demographic features, the questions of the local culinary cultures, why they have been forgotten, the ways of transferring them to the next generations and how the local culinary culture can be used as a tourist attraction are sought in the interview questions. The research data obtained were interpreted with a direct quotation with the descriptive research approach. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that the local cultures of Edremit Bay districts and villages show some similarities and differences. It is concluded that tourism awareness is developed in Ayvalık, Edremit and Burhaniye districts. As a result of cultural interaction in Edremit gulf districts and villages, it has been revealed that the tradition of collective eating in birth, death, weddings, feasts and goodies, which are called transition periods, has been given importance from past to present.. It is determined that the Gulf region, which has an ethnic diversity, can be used as a supportive factor in tourism as a regional attraction and tourist attraction. It is concluded that tourism awareness is developed in Ayvalık, Edremit and Burhaniye districts. In addition, the continuity of the traditional cultures of these people in these districts and their sensitivity to transfer them to future generations have attracted attention
