Özet: ABSTRACT  Aegean province of Muğla is located South West of Anatolia which is Turkey's main tourist destination. The province is the third most visited destination in the country after Antalya, Istanbul and its districts such as ‘’Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, Dalaman’’, and ‘’Koycegiz’’. In spite of that, in Muğla, which is the administrative center of the province, tourism has remained quite limited. The relative development of tourism in the city has been realized with the opportunities of tourism activity in coastal settlements and the restoration works carried out in the city center within the scope of protectionism activities. To be able to talk about a significant impact of tourism on the development of Muğla city, however, it is only possible with the best assessment of the cultural tourism potential of the city. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the cultural tourism potential of Muğla, which is aimed to be one of the brand cities in cultural tourism and to present solution suggestions.   Key words: Tourism Geography, Cultural Tourism, Mugla City, Tourism Potential.
