Özet: In the face of global crisis, demographic change and economic crises, it becomes difficult for social security institutions to maintain their existence. There is no doubt that well-established institutions are needed to optimize the use of resources allocated to social security, to ensure the income-expenditure balance of expenditures and to maximize the efficiency of social security funds. In this context, the number of passive insured per active insured should be reduced and the financial balance of social security institutions should be maintained. The formation of a comprehensive general health insurance system should be ensured so that all citizens can benefit through the social insurance system. In addition, each country should adopt financial methods appropriate to its economic and social development and provide social security services without interruption. This compilation, highlights the financial repercussions of social security expenditures and public health expenditures in Turkey and the issues related to the financing and financing model of the Turkish social security system and was written to provide an overview of literature in the relevant field.
