Özet: The great Uzbek poet AlishirNavai (1441-1501) played an exceptional role in the development of Azerbaijani-Uzbek literary relations. He is a poet of Central Asia who is most closely connected with the literature of Azerbaijan in the Middle Ages and influenced the creativity of Azerbaijani poets. Nodoubt, easy reading and understanding by the representatives of a number of Turkic peoples in the Middle Ages, the ideas of humanism in Navai’s works, the deep meaning and the high art have contributed to the spread of his creativity in a wide geography – not only in Turkestanbut also in Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey and India. A number of valuable manuscripts of AlishirNavai's works are preserved at the Institute of Manuscripts named after MahammadFizuli of ANAS. Among them are the most elegant, artistic manuscript with decorations, miniature paintings and ornaments. The Institute has a manuscript of divan copied in hijri 889 (christianity 1484) under the m-111/9010 code, during the poet’s lifetime. The caption on the title page shows that the owner of the manuscript was a man from Nakhchivan, Mahammadgulu bin Hasan, who treated the heritage of the great Uzbek poet with great respect and love. One of the finest and most original copies of the novel "Majalisun-nafais", kept under code 107/2996 at the Institute, is of great interest. The manuscript is, first of all, remarkable in the study of the history of calligraphy and miniature art, and its discovery in Azerbaijan is indicative of great respect for the Navai art. The compilation of the manusriptwith miniature for this tazkirah is a rare event. The manuscripts of Navai’s novels are excellent in their content and are of great interest in their elegance and artistic design, and show a great love for the poet's creativity in Azerbaijan.
