Özet: kuEducation in mother tongue has an important place for nations to pass on their mother tongue to future generations and for the continuation of the culture. Every nation works sensitively to prepares education programs in mother tongue. The most important material in the implementation of the education program in mother tongue are textbooks. For this reason, it is crucial that the prepared textbooks are appropriate and sufficient for the development levels of the students. Since 2012, Kurdish language has been offered to the students of the secondary schools as an elective course. Since then, two textbooks have been prepared by the Ministry of National Education to teach Zaza language in 5th grade. In this study, we compare these two textbooks used in Zaza lessons in terms of social gender equality. The results show that both textbooks were prepared in a way to strengthen social gender inequality.
