Özet: The first youth period is the period when the individual is in role confusion and tries to find a place to himself/ herself in his/her environment. In the first youth, the individual develops appropriate identification models to create a successful identity and not to fall into this crisis. In this period, the individual has some developmental features remaining from childhood and tries to get used to some new situations brought by the first youth period. Sometimes he/she behaves like an adult, sometimes he/ she is no different from a child. The individual, who has many friends in childhood, switches to a narrower circle of friends in the first youth. While individuals who have had a successful adolescence period develop productive, happy, meaningful social relationships; those who fail to have an aggressive, destructive, and bigoted personality. In the novels written with the aim of the first youth period, the characters usually consist of young people. Within the scope of the research, Pomegranate (Emre Gül), Bad Boy (Büşra Küçük), 4N1K (Büşra Yılmaz) and Take a Look at Me Now (Miranda Dickinson), which are of the first youth novels, were analyzed by document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The events described in "Kötü Çocuk" novel, the attitudes, and behaviors of the main characters towards each other and their families, the places where the events took place were written in a way that could constitute a negative example for the readers. The girl character is someone who can’t stand on her feet, is weak, depends on man, does what he says, also feeling the need to do his bad habits for the man she loves, and does not care about herself and her family, especially her father. The male character is described as a type who is completely independent of his family, does not account for anyone because of what he does, quarrelsome, has bad habits, uses girls as he wishes, disregards school rules, thinks that he can do what he wants because his father cheated on his mother, rude, and thinks that he has a say on the girls he is with. Young models in "Nar" novel are far from giving young people positive values and personality traits. The two main characters of the book, the boy and the girl are university students who share the same house. The female heroine of the book has a personality judging people by their appearance, being gossipy, being quarrelsome, often experiencing anger bursts. The book does not mention the plans of these young people. Their only purpose in life is to never be separated from each other, to be “eternal” in their own words. The young characters in the book are generally attractive but have negative characteristics in character. Men are handsome but they all smoke and swear. Cigarettes and swearing were not shown negatively in the book, contrarily they were given encouragingly. In their eyes, girls are beings who are weak, available to use, whose only problem is to find a rich husband. The main character of the novel named 4N1K is a girl with naughty, sweary, masculine behavior. Out of school times, she spends all her time with four of her closest friends and is fond of freedom. The male character, which is closest to the girl character, protects her girlfriend in any case; depends on her with a feeling beyond friendship, secret lover. He is a more demure and mature character than other men in the group. He also takes care of his friends' problems. He is a young man who has to live away from his parents. Although this situation has some difficulties, he is capable of dealing with them. The male character, who draws a positive profile with these aspects, sometimes exhibits negative behaviors. When he is in trouble, he smokes cigarettes or sometimes he responds with heavy swearing in the face of her friends' mistakes. The main message of the novel "Kendime Yeni Bir Ben Lazım", is the importance of striving for goals without giving up in the face of negativity and finding something that can be happy in life. The female character of the novel constantly strived for her personal development next to her cousin she went to take a vacation and distract after the negativities she experienced and opened her own business after reaching enough equipment in the restaurant where she started as a waitress. The fact that the heroine of the novel sees her family as an obstacle for her private life and that her relations with her friends in the same house are bad does not constitute a positive example for young people. Using slang and swearing in the novel although not very often, taking place kissing and drinking actions more than necessary is also unfavorable. In the books examined within the scope of the research, it has seen that the parent model is not included or passive. Parents are not indispensable for young people in books with parents.
