Özet: In the study, it will be claimed that the right of self-determination of nations will help in the formation of closed societies. Firstly, the study will be try to establish a conceptual basis at the center of open and closed societies. After the conceptual basis drawn were compared with liberal thought, Wilson's principles and the League of Nations article 22. Woodrow Wilson's principles and the founding of the League of Nations, they were developed within the perspective of a liberal understanding that convenient for open society. In this study, it is thought societies after from WWI direct towards closed societies, this is because Wilson's principles -right to self-determination- and in the League of Nations article 22 will be let mandatory management. Finally, it will be discussed whether the society structure in the extraterrestrial colonies, which are planned to be established in the future, can be open or closed. The focus factors to be considered will be distance and cost.
