Özet: MifdyiEwCaUsi-Aundertalsen ta determine improvement atter surgical abiation of incompetent superticial and perfora-lar veins in limbs with combined deep and superliclal venous incompetence manifested by chronic dermal ulcereti-on. Filteen limbs In 13 patients with active venous ulderation were assessed by CEAP clasification (clinical, etiologic, anatomic and pathophysraologio), color duplex ultrasonography, and ascending venagraphy. Perlorating yekta ligation without additional operations on superficial veins was performed In 6 patients (% 40). Nine patients (%60) had can-comitant operations for superlicial vein incompetence. Additional ulcer operation were perforrned in 5 limbs. Clinical symplom score decreased from 9.45±3.24 to 2.07±1.89 (p d).001). Average time ta heal was 23±5.1 (17-36) days. Ulcars healed in 86.8% of 15 !imha. Wound ranfectlon in twa limbs and recurrent ulceration in ana limb were seen. Su-perficial and pedarating nem incompetence accounts for a substantial and correctable companeni of venous insuffi-Diem in limbs with venous uiceration. Surgical correction of )his component sfanificantly Improves clinical symptoms.
