Özet: The effects of intraa ortic hypothermic laktated ringer's solution to prevent postishemic spinal cord injury was inves tigated in this study. We studied twentyone rabbits equally allocated into three groups. in all groups, one proximal clamping and another distal damping were applied on aorta just below the left renal vein and just above the iliac bi furca tion respectively, along 30 min. No intervention was performed on isolated aortic segment ın 1 th group. We in fused normothermic 20 mi lactated ringer solution 2nd group; +3°C 20 mi lactated ringer ın 3th group, into iso lated aortic segments within 3 min. The evaluation of postoperative spinal cord functions was performed according to Tarlov's scale. The neurologic status of rabbits ın group 3 was better than that of ones ın both group 1 and 2 with statistically significant. We suggested that the intraaortic infusion of hypothermic lactated ringer solution could be effective on preventing spinal cord injury.
