Özet: Purpose: To evaluate the early and late postoperative results of aortoiliac occlusive disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) operations that we performed. Material-Methods: Between 1990 to 2001, 74 patients with aortoiliac occlusive disease and 15 patients with AAA underwent surgical repair in our clinic. 75 (83,1%) of them were male, 14 (15,7%) were female. Except four patients who underwent operation in emergent condition, other patients were evaluated to rule out coronary artery disease (CAD) in preoperative period. Result: The indication tor operation was claudication in 40 patients, rest pain in 24, ischemic ulcer/gangrene in 10 and aneurysm in 15. CAD was present in 28 (31,4%) patients. Mortality was 50% (2/4) in emergency operations and 5,8% (5/85) in elective procedures. Conclusion: Early diagnosis and theraphy of aortoiliac occlusive disease and AAA and associated diseases, espe cially CAD reduced the mortality and morbidity rates considerably in selectively operated group.
