Özet: Most of the complications such as hematoma, pseudoaneurysm, acute obstruction and arteriovenous fistula in the intervention region after coronary angiography can be easily managed with ultrasound-guided compression, thrombin injection and endovascular stent-grafts replacement. But, in patients with atherosclerotic, tortuous, ectatic iliac arteries surgical intervention is usually needed in complications of this artery. Here is presented our three patients with different iliac artery complications. In retrospective view, iliac arteries can be screened by giving contrast material in patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease if prior ultrasonography and magnetic resonance angiography adjunct to complete physical examination are abscent and the guide wire cannot be passed further from this region. We conclude that at this stage of procedure changing the cannulation site decreases iliac artery complications. (Turkish J Vasc Sur 2008;17(1):31-34).
