Özet: Aortic coarctation is one of the most commonly encountered congenital heart disease, presenting in children, or adult population either solely or in association with other cardiac defects. The main treatment strategy of coarctation of the aorta is surgical repair. In the last two decades, ho- wever, endovascular repair by balloon angioplasty or stenting has become more widespread. Altho- ugh rare, major complications may be devastating during stenting which necessitates careful patient selection. Short-term results of endovascular thearapy are excellent but there are few data on long- term outcome. Unfortunately, prospective randomized control trials of endovascular versus surgical therapy are unavailable in the adult population. We report a case of recurrent coarctation of the aorta after surgical repair that was treated by primary stenting under the light of literature and revie wed the treatment modality and patient selection for aortic coarctation in the adult.
