Özet: Jugular vein catheterisation is the frequently used approach in order to establish central route, dialysis, plasmaphresis, parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy. Occurrence of the com- plications like hematoma, venous obstruction, arterio-venous fistule, pseudoaneurysm, hemo-pne- umothorax increase due to frequent application. Pseudoaneurysm of the truncus thyrocervicalis, that is the second branch of subclavian artery, frequently occurs due to trauma and catheterizati- on of jugular vein. True aneurysm of the truncus thyrocervicalis very rarely occurs, also isolated, complication-related pseudoaneurysm of the truncus thyrocervicalis is rare. Pseudoaneurysm is di- agnosed with colored-doppler ultrasonography, angiography, CT/MR angiography. We report this case to present our experiences of successfull surgical intervention, prevention complications, and detection of this pathology.
