Özet: Objective: To demonstrate the technical success and clinical follow up after endovascular treatment of femoropopliteal segment occlusive lesions. Material and Methods: Between September 2011 and December 2012, 25 limbs of 25 patients with femoropoliteal TransAtlantic Inter-Society Consensus (TASC II) A, B, C, D lesions were treated. Endovascular treatment consisted of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, subintimal recanalization and finally stent graft. Patients were clinically evaluated at postoperative 1st day, 30th day, and 3rd month in the outpa- tient setting with clinical examination and ankle-brachial indices (ABI). After 3 months from discharge, the patency of the vessels was assessed using magnetic resonance angiography. Results: Fifteen of the procedures were performed on patients with lifestyle-limiting claudication (IC) and ten were performed for critical limb ischemia (CLI). Technical success, defined as successful recanalization and treatment of the occluded vessel, was achieved in 100% of cases. Mortality related to the procedure has not been observed. Conclusion: The majority of claudicating patients with femoropopliteal lesions will benefit from the endovascular treatment. Patients presenting with CLI have a worse outcome, nevertheless the endovascular treatment can delay amputation, preserving the native vessel and does not impede surgical bypass if needed. For this reason, we consider that endovascular treatment may be the first choice treatment in peripheral occlusive diseases.
