Özet: Objective: Varicosities due to saphenofemoral insufficiency are common, theyb> adversely affect the quality of life, and its conventional treatment method is surgery. Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) emerged as an alternative to surgery in recent years. EVLA is performed under local anesthesia, and patients can continue to their daily life on the same day of operation. Visual analog scale (VAS) is used to convert the non-numeric data to numeric values. Material and Methods: In this study, satisfaction of the patients who were treated with EVLA due to symptomatic saphe- nofemoral insufficiency between April 2011 and April 2013 was investigated by using VAS. Ninety eight patients; 47 males and 51 females with ages between 18 to 66 years were included in the study. Results: Among all, 37.7% of the patients reported that their symptoms disappeared com- pletely while 58.8% of the patients expressed that the symptoms markedly improved. No patients declared that their symptoms did not improve at all. Conclusion: As a minimal invasive treatment option, EVLA method is reliable with its clinical and esthetic results, effective with its low com- plication rates, and efficient in terms of patient satisfaction.
