Özet: Aim: As a result of research conducted in recent years, it has been seen that the imitations and adulterations in foods increased. Unfair competition increases due to imitation and adulteration and enterprises are exposed to economic pressure. To avoid these problems, necessary inspections and scientific research are needed. Especially in Eastern Anatolia Region, where meat and meat products based on livestock breeding are frequently consumed, emphasis should be placed on studies. For this purpose, the reliability of some meat and meat products that are available for consumption in Mus province was investigated. Material and Method: In this study, for every year between 2010 and 2017, 48 raw meat, sausages, salami and sausage samples had analyzed taking randomly for each year using PCR and ELISA methods. Results: According to the results of the study, horse, donkey and pork were not found in red meat samples. Similarly, poultry meat was not also found in sucuk, sausage, salami samples. Conclusion: It was found to be reliable that meat and meat products offered for sale in Muş province grocery stores according to these results. However, the samples taken for analysis were not stored according to hygiene and sanitation rules. Staff in the sales of the grocery stores should be informed about food hygiene and preservation. It was also concluded that similar studies should be carried out on the subject.
