Özet: Siberia is located at the top of Russia. In this region, there is a formidable taiga, rivers that flow like flood and local people. Surprisingly, this region is a topos that contains the fate and dreams of thousands of exiles and convicts. In Russian literature, these hard lands play an important role. In the late 18th and 19th centuries, people who were in contradiction to the regime of monarchy, insurgents, those who committed heavy criminal offenses and those who made irregularities in trade were sent to the north of Russia and to Siberia. In addition, Siberia was a place of exile for many Russian intellectuals and writers and was remembered in this way until the middle of the 20th century. In this study, this phenomenon of nature, and importance of Siberian topos the place in Russian literature will be examined. This place is not only a place of exile, but some intellectuals and writers emphasize that it is a place of reckoning, a source of inspiration and a reference point.
