Özet: The world was faced with a pandemic that spread from China and left its mark after 2020. This disease, caused by Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), called coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19), continues to show its effect. Patients may exhibit a severe clinical picture that may result in mortality from asymptomatic infection. Common laboratory findings include a decrease in lymphocyte count, an increase in liver enzymes, lactate dehydrogenase and inflammation markers such as ferritin, C-reactive protein and erythrocyte sedimentation rate. In COVID-19 pneumonia, similar to other viral pneumonia, bilateral, middle-lower zones, peripherally located ground-glass opacities with consolidation are the most common findings. There is no consensus treatment yet, and vaccination studies continue in many parts of the world. Protection from infection is the most effective method to prevent the spread of the disease.
