Özet: Objective: This study was conducted to determine the attitudes of nursing students towards gender roles. Method: The universe of the research, which is descriptive, was composed of 1021 students studying in the nursing department of a university in 2017-2018. Sample selection was not made in the study and 737 students were included in the study. The data were collected using “Personal Questionnaire Form” and “Gender Role Attitudes Scale (GRAS)”. Percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test, kruskal Wallis and mann whitney u tests were used to evaluate the data. Results: It was determined that the average age of the students participating in the study was 20.8 ± 2.09, 69.5% of them were women and 87% of them were aware of the concept of gender. It was determined that the total score average of female students from GRAS was 136.85 ± 14.15, male students were 121.48 ± 17.03 and the difference was statistically significant (p <0.05). A statistically significant difference was found between the total score averages of the students' GRAS scale and gender, mother's employment status, father's education status, high school, gender, and the information sources acquired (p <0.05).
