Özet: The media transmits to the public information about what events have taken place and which problems exist. Even if people do not follow it themselves, they get in touch with those who are exposed to media messages and somehow become aware of their media content. The agenda setting theory states that the public is cognitively influenced by the media. However, today, claiming more than that, the news networks in the media claim that the subject networks constitute the same network in the public mind. These studies, which are called the third level agenda setting, use different methods and programs than the traditional agenda setting studies. In this study, the similarity of media and public agenda network in the context of violence against women is examined. Because violence against women is a social problem. The news about violence against women are frequently encountered in the media as part of social life. This has reached a level that has been frequently criticized by broader circles, particularly women's rights advocates. The problem of the research, is there a third stage agenda setting effect between the media agenda and the public agenda in the context of violence against women news? As a result, it has been proved that there is a high similarity between the news network on violence against women and the public agenda on violence against women.
