Özet: The changes in today's technology have necessitated the change in information and record management systems as in every field. The stages in the life cycle, including the process from the production of the records in the physical environment to the disposal of the records, have made the process of record management to be in electronic environment as the processes become harder and take a long time. The protection, sustainability, reliability and accessibility of records produced by electronic record management systems (ERMS) in digital institutions should be ensured. When creating the information infrastructure of digital institutions, experienced information and records managers and IT personnel should consider the organizational structure of the institution regarding the records produced in the institution in terms of the efficiency and use of the electronic record management system and records managers should ensure that information assets are identified, classified, and information assets are up-to-date. After this stage, group, rating, retention period, authorization, accessible authority, file size and format of information assets should be determined. In addition, the information infrastructure of the organization should be established by making the risk rating. The existence of knowledge; It is a stack of information that is defined and managed as a single unit so that it can be understood, shared, protected and used efficiently. Information assets are recognizable and manageable value, risk, content and life cycles. In this study, asset inventory and risk assessment tables have been formed within the scope of the organization's information security and management system standard. The physical, digital identification and separation of assets were determined by electronic record management system and the related ones were classified according to the standard file plan. In this study, it is the protection, sustainability, reliability and accessibility of records in the process from the production of electronic records produced in the institutions that are intended to be emphasized. In addition, it is important that the information assets efficiently manage the electronic record management of the institution in ensuring the digital continuity of the institution, and accessing the records correctly and in a short time. Within the scope of the study, information assets in electronic record management applications in the Press Advertising Agency (Basın İlan Kurumu) will be presented as examples.
